Grief and Loss
Grief and loss are the transitioning of a relationship between you and someone or something else. Regardless of the circumstance, you are having the experience of moving from having, to not having or having differently. For some things, you may want to sever the attachment and for others, like losing a loved one, you may want to think of the relationship becoming one that exists on different planes, one spiritual and the other physical.
It is relational. All of it. Your heart has been wounded. Whether a loved one, a job, a breakup, etc., the common denominator is that the heart is broken. Even if it presents as anger, if you look deep enough, there is heartbreak underneath. The heartbreak of losing a loved one is certainly different than the loss of a job, but they both leave you wounded.
Rumi has a wonderful quote that says, "The wound is the place where light enters you." When you are in the depths of your suffering you may not be able to see that light. I assist you in recognizing that it is still present and then turning the light up enough so you can see it.
Love, love, love,
